Jahneration

The duo Jahneration, formed in 2009, blend English and Jamaican patois in their modern reggae sound. Six albums and over 400 concerts in France and abroad bear witness to their musical journey.

The Parisian duo Jahneration, made up of Thëo and Ogach, was formed in 2009 when two secondary school friends decided to swap punk rock for reggae. Musicians since their earliest childhood, they compose, write and sing in a mix of English and Jamaican patois.

Enthusiasts of the island and its music, the duo draw inspiration from their frequent trips there: in 2017, they recorded with their bandmates at the Marley family’s famous Tuff Gong Studios.

It was in 2015 that Jahneration signed with the independent label Ovastand, which established them on the contemporary music scene. Over the course of ten years, they have toured France and its overseas territories, Europe, India and Canada, playing over 400 concerts. With six albums to their name, Jahneration have established themselves as one of the leading acts on the French reggae scene. Prolific, creative and powerful on stage, they attract a wide audience thanks to their modern and dynamic reggae sound.
