Touring on a licence-free electric boat

Composants

Whether for a tour of a couple of hours or a whole day, an electric boat is an ideal craft for exploring independently and learning about riverboating on the Rivers of Western France.

A silent boat that's easy to manoeuvre

Since they are easier to pilot than a cabin cruiser, a licence-free electric boat is a great alternative for learning to navigate rivers by boat. Depending on the capacity of the craft, electric boats can easily fit four or five passengers, sometimes even more.

Escape for a tour or an excursion and make the most of your cruise. Pack a picknick and enjoy a meal on board! Whether it be the river Sarthe, Maine, or Mayenne, these small electric crafts, whose maximum speed is 6 km/h (3mph), are ideal for embarking on a new adventure with the whole family.

Ideas for getaways by electric boat

Pass under the arches of a bridge, see beautiful residences on the riverbank, approach ancient watermills, or make a stop-over at the island of Saint-Aubin: a sense of freedom is guaranteed during your getaway.

Enjoy a few rounds in the water, travel a little further along the river, or make it a bigger outing to explore your environs. Renting an electric boat is a fun occasion to be shared with family and friends.

Where to rent an electric boat on the Rivers of Western France?

You will find a large range of rental providers of electric boats in Anjou, Mayenne and Sarthe. Depending on the length of your tour, one or more lock-crossings may be necessary, in particular during cruises of a day or half-day in length.

A lock-crossing offers the opportunity to share a friendly chat with the lockkeeper. Where there is no lockkeeper present, two adults on board are necessary in order to be able to operate the lock yourself.

And how about using a tour on an electric boat as the first step towards setting off on a cabin cruiser?
