Journées Européennes du Patrimoine -parc du Château de Verney

A tour of the grounds of Verney Castle in Champteussé-sur-Baconne, organised as part of the European Heritage Days on 19 and 20 September 2026.

First mentioned in historical records as early as the 12th century, the château underwent major alterations in the 17th century and in the second half of the 19th century, thanks to the architects René Hodé and Auguste Beignet. It is surrounded by extensive landscaped grounds bordered by the River Baconne.
Opening ceremony on Saturday at 11.00 am with local councillors.
