L'Obole de Caquisse - Installation sonore

A sensitive and immersive sound experience, proposed by Hélène Rocheteau as an extension of her Gaslight performance on the female voice, and in association with the Acoustics Laboratory at Le Mans University.

Following on from her project on the female voice, Hélène Rocheteau asks where the voices of those who are no longer with us go? Here she offers an immersive sound experience, listening to women's voices collected over the last few months. The installation was created in collaboration with Manuel Melon and Valentin Bourrud, respectively a researcher and a student in acoustics, who are working on the sound shower process, using directional loudspeakers to diffuse sound in a targeted way.
This installation is a tribute to all those whose voices were silenced too soon.
