A vol d'oiseau - La Chapelle Harmonique
As part of Le Mans Sonore | Genre : Concert-lecture, Awakening to contemporary biodiversity issues | All ages
With reader-poet Allain Bougrain Dubourg, reciting.
Philosophers say that "art imitates nature". But at a time when man has so degraded biodiversity, what will be left to nourish art? What if the first step towards preserving the environment was to observe it? Through the prism of music, La Chapelle Harmonique and reader-poet Allain Bougrain Dubourg invite us to look up at a paradigm of living things: birds. So let's take flight with the birds and wander from the Renaissance to the Age of Enlightenment, covering the whole of Europe from east to west: Purcell's England, Biber's Austria, Van Eyck's Netherlands, Vivaldi's Italy and, of course, France.
