Come and discover the ancient fortress and museum of Jublains.

The museum's mediators will open the doors of the ancient fortress of Noviodunum and show you the key objects in the Jublains museum.

The Gallo-Roman fortress of Jublains, located on the immediate outskirts of the ancient town, is the most emblematic building on the site. The exact function of this fortified complex, built in three stages, still raises many questions today.

A major restoration project began in February 2023. The first phase consisted of cleaning the southern wall, before carrying out a study of the structure and launching the masonry work. The study of the structure will enable us to find out more about the construction techniques used and perhaps revisit the dating of this emblematic monument of Jublains, which was listed as a Historic Monument in 1840.
