The Ecoutilles company (71) is putting on its puppet show at the Mayenne theatre on Wednesday 3 December.

Beneath a mound of soft earth, La vie Taupe secrète (Secret Mole Life) invites you to come and observe the daily life of a sleepy but very much alive little beast... Two mounted puppets live together mischievously in a dark lair and gradually learn to build a subterranean bond. Tenderness and "Tatiesque" humour interweave between the strata of the earth...

La vie Taupe secrète (Secret Mole Life) is intended to be a light little show, as much in feeling as in form. It's like stopping still to watch a wild animal at the bend of a path, on the edge of a forest...

A privileged moment that reveals the secret life of a solitary, routine animal, a little embittered by the half-light that surrounds it. The arrival of another living creature in its lair first frightens it, upsets its routine and finally leads it to find what it has to share in the warmth of a budding friendship.
