Vivre sans attachement

We all want to be happy, we all seek happiness, but we often don't know what path to follow or what actions to take to achieve it. Between the objects to possess, the relationships to secure and the expectations to fulfil, the quest for happiness sometimes seems like a never-ending race. We say to ourselves: "when I get this... when everything gets better... when the other person changes...". It can feel like we're not getting enough out of life, or that we're missing out, because happiness can sometimes seem elusive or incomplete.

What if the problem isn't what we like to do, but the way we cling to it - with too many expectations? One of the signs of this is that every desire seems to be accompanied by its own obstacles, fears, sadness, jealousy or anger. That what should make us happy ends up stressing and frustrating us.

During this talk, we will discover a simple and profoundly liberating approach derived from ancestral Buddhist wisdom: learning to live without attachment. Not by cutting ourselves off from the world or renouncing our relationships, but by developing a mind that is freer, more flexible, more peaceful, and less dependent on what is constantly changing.

Accessible to all, this meeting will provide concrete keys to understanding our desires, easing our inner tensions and tasting deeper, more lasting happiness. It's a way of living life to the full... without getting hung up on it.
