Nouveaux regards sur la galaxie d'Andromede

A new look at the Andromede galaxy by David VALLS-GABAUD

The Andromeda galaxy, a twin of our Galaxy, continues to surprise us. Recent observations have revealed new structures in its disc and halo, meteor streams produced by the meteor forces on satellite galaxies, and a system of new satellites. Its distance has been measured to an accuracy of 3%, and knowledge of its orbit has made it possible to predict its future interaction with the Milky Way.
