Open Day – Social Reuse – Cyclamaine

In the face of the environmental crisis, it is essential that we rethink our relationship with objects and consumption.
Second-hand goods are THE solution for extending the lifespan of objects and moving towards a more frugal lifestyle.

This is what Cyclamaine offers through its workshop:
• Reuse: here, every day of the week, volunteer mechanics restore bicycles donated by the public or salvaged from waste collection centres, to resell them at low prices. If you have a bike you no longer use, donate it to Cyclamaine – it will be given a new lease of life and will help those in need.
• DIY repairs: any member can come along to service their bike. Even if you’re not a mechanic, you’ll receive help from the association’s professionals and have access to all the necessary tools.

On Saturday 3 October, from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm, come and discover our association’s workshop during our Open Day.
Come and meet the workshop team, including our professionals José and Théo, as well as our volunteers.
You’ll have the chance to try out and buy bikes that have been serviced and restored by the association.
Spread the word – you don’t need to be a member to take part on the day.

This year, a creative workshop on making belts from old tyres is scheduled for Saturday morning. If you’re interested, please contact José at Cyclamaine (06 84 50 25 13).

This event is being organised as part of the 2026 National Week of Solidarity-Based Reuse.
If you’d like to donate a bike, you can drop it off at the workshop from Tuesday to Saturday, 2 pm to 6 pm, at Cyclamaine (47 rue des Acacias, Le Mans).
