Soirée Observation "Eclipse de soleil" - Association Ciel et Nature
Solar eclipse in Durtal: an evening of observing the Sun and the stars with Pascal Fournié
Have you ever seen the Sun disappear in broad daylight? On 12 August 2026, the skies above Durtal will treat you to an exceptional spectacle.
Imagine the light gradually changing, the Sun transforming into a slender, luminous crescent, and the Moon gently coming between our star and the Earth… In Durtal, the Ciel et Nature association invites you to experience a rare moment of observation and discovery centred on the solar eclipse of 12 August 2026. Accompanied by Pascal Fournié, an astronomy enthusiast, you’ll discover why this phenomenon occurs and how the Moon gradually moves in front of the Sun. Thanks to the equipment set up for the occasion, everyone will be able to observe the eclipse in complete safety: solar viewing glasses (limited stock), telescopes fitted with special filters and a live computer broadcast will enable us to share this collective experience.
