Deux 1/2 - Alex Vizoreck - Le Cargo

Belgian columnist and comedian Alex Vizoreck will be performing at Le Cargo in Segré on Friday 9 October at 8.30 pm, with his show *Deux 1/2*.

Alex Vizorek, a columnist for various media outlets, takes a critical look at himself in his new show, exploring a variety of themes with humour and introspection in an intimate, improvised performance, ranging from Spinoza to nostalgia for family life.

Following two previous one-man shows that were met with both critical and popular acclaim, the Belgian comedian has decided to spend a year on tour with nothing but a microphone stand. This time, he is giving himself the freedom to improvise, to talk about the times we live in, and to engage in more self-reflection. He has abandoned the idea of using a single theme as a central thread (culture and then death in his first two one-man shows) in order to offer the audience a genuine stand-up experience – a more direct form of humour. A more personal one, too.
All the more so as he’s performing in much more intimate venues than usual to encourage interaction and personal revelations.

All of this, of course, with the sole aim of making you laugh, and if, by some misfortune, it makes you think… well, that’s no great tragedy either!
