Labour
Five bodies, a single breath. A performance of rare intensity, in which effort becomes beauty and solidarity is held aloft as a banner.
With *Labour*, the duo Emily Gualtieri and David Albert-Toth present a powerful work about perseverance. On stage, five performers embark on a physically demanding journey, exploring the tension between individual exhaustion and the strength of the group. Amidst moments of collision and gestures of support, the performance transforms hard work into a hypnotic and visceral dance. The piece draws its beauty from the contrast between the fragility of the bodies and the urgency of the action. It is a celebration of ‘doing things together’, an ode to those who keep moving forward despite the obstacles. A work that is both intimate and political, inviting us to see the world as it is: complex, demanding, yet deeply alive.
