La Revanche de Godzilla
This show is about self-image, the way we present ourselves to the world, the way we put on a show, how we sometimes feel self-conscious about our bodies, and how we try, as best we can, to make the best of them, even if we cannot fully accept them.
"Isn’t that a bit twisted? Being crippled by insecurities that vanish the moment a whole theatre is staring at me for an hour?"
This show is about self-image, the way we present ourselves to the world, the way we put on a show, and how we’re sometimes embarrassed by our bodies and try as best we can to make the best of them, if we can’t quite accept them completely.
‘Godzilla’ was the nickname some people gave her at secondary school. It was the turning point, the moment when her body took on a social dimension and suddenly became a problem to be dealt with.
