Come and explore the Château de la Lorie during the European Heritage Days on 19 and 20 September 2026.

Counted amongst the Châteaux of the Loire Valley, built under Louis XIII and subsequently extended under Louis XV, its history has always been linked to horses. A sumptuous French-style park opening out onto a racecourse.
Guided tours every 15 minutes, duration: approximately 30 minutes.

On site:
- Introductory archery sessions, horse rides on Sundays (organised by Les Attelages de la Jarretière), entertainment, bar and dining facilities.

- ‘Rémanence du vivant’ exhibition, on display in the château’s rooms, featuring the artists Thaïs Bean, Béatrice Bissara, Alain Cornu and Daëna Song Cabral.

- Comedy theatre performances of “Histoire d’en rire” by the Cie du Pont d’Ardoise, staged on Saturdays at 3.00 pm and 4.00 pm and on Sundays at 2.00 pm, 3.00 pm and 4.00 pm.

Access for people with reduced mobility – English spoken at reception.
Catering and refreshment bar.
Dogs welcome, provided they are kept on a lead.
