Les P'tites Pépites - Dans l'écrin du château - Marans
As part of the ‘P'tites Pépites’ event organised by the Anjou Bleu Tourist Office, a guided tour of the gardens at Château de la Devansaye, Marans.
First mentioned in the Middle Ages, it was in the 19th century that
the Château de la Devansaye and its estate underwent
a complete transformation with the restoration of
the main building, the construction of substantial outbuildings
and a chapel, and finally the creation of a vast kitchen garden
surrounded by walls and an English-style park.
Combining natural and architectural heritage, discover
the grounds of this remarkable estate, which is home
to a collection of 400 rose bushes, 65 varieties
of tomatoes, an orchard and an arboretum.
