Ciné-rencontre - Dalloway
The Société des Amis des Musées du Mans invites you to an evening exploring the intrusion of Artificial Intelligence into the creative process with the screening of "Dalloway" by Yann Gozlan. The screening will be followed by a debate in the presence of co-writer Nicolas Bouvet-Levrard.
The Société des Amis des Musées, the main supporter and donor to the museums of Le Mans, feels particularly implicated by the intrusion of artificial intelligence into the creative process.
The screening of the film Dalloway by director Yann Gozlan illustrates this concern, and may well be the starting point for the debate proposed after the film screening.
Dalloway is a contemporary triller somewhere between Hitchcock and Orwell!
Clarissa, a novelist in search of inspiration, joins a prestigious artists' residence at the cutting edge of technology. In Dalloway, her virtual assistant, she finds support and even a confidante to help her write. But little by little, Clarissa becomes uneasy about her AI's increasingly intrusive behaviour, reinforced by the conspiratorial warnings of another resident. Feeling under surveillance, Clarissa secretly embarks on an investigation to discover her hosts' true intentions. Real threat or paranoid delusion?
The film is adapted from the novel Les Fleurs de l'ombre by Tatiana de Rosnay, published in 2020 and renamed Dalloway when the film was released.
The screening will be followed by a discussion in the presence of co-writer Nicolas Bouvet-Levrard.
