Conférence "Noirceur & Opacité dans le Black Metal"
Free admission to the conference. As part of Le Mans Sonore.
Following on from the book "Believing in Black Metal", recently published by Audimat and co-edited by Catherine Guesde and François Vesin, this conference will look at the question of secrecy and opacity in black metal.
Catherine Guesde has a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. She is interested in the aesthetics of popular and experimental music.
Gérôme Guibert has a doctorate in sociology from the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. His favourite topics are the live music industry in the digital age, the music press, music scenes and subcultures.
On the theme of "Noirceur & Nihilisme dans les Musiques Extrêmes", proposed by the Moth Frequency association.
