Come and discover the secrets of saffron with Louise and Philippe, saffron growers in Gesvres, during a tour of their farm, ‘Lou Safran Mayenne’.

An event not to be missed! A wonderful opportunity to discover the expertise of a local producer and learn more about saffron cultivation in Mayenne. On the programme: an introduction to the bulbs and the planting process, flowering and harvesting, followed by an introduction to pruning saffron flowers. The tour will include a presentation on the drying, processing and packaging of this precious spice.
