“After the shipwreck of the boat that was to take him to Hong Kong in search of his grandmother, Sun finds himself alone on a desert island. At first, he struggles to survive by meeting his basic needs. He learns to know and love himself, and does the same for nature.
Time stands still. Sun has time to think, to slow down. To experience his solitude. He gives free rein to his dreams and his imagination. In a world that is moving ever faster, where screens become either addictive or a refuge for some, Sun offers us another way.
‘How does Sun manage to keep going on his island, despite the difficulties he faces? The island is all around him, but it is also within him.’
