GAUGUIN - VAN GOGH The story of two geniuses living together, which did not end well. Friendship, genius, frailties... Come and experience the most febrile collocation in the history of art.

GAUGUIN - VAN GOGH
by Cliff Paillé
William MESGUICH - Alexandre CATTEZ

This is the story of the cohabitation of two geniuses, which did not end well. The final event, Van Gogh's severed ear, is well known to everyone. But how did he reach this level of despair, this senseless gesture? A few weeks earlier, Gauguin had joined Vincent in Arles.
The latter had been living there for a few months, with a certain serenity. The idea? To set up an artist's house in Provence. The play retraces these nine incandescent weeks. Condensed, of course, but with a real concern for fidelity to the many known elements, as written under the expert watchful eye of David Haziot.
Friendship, genius, frailties... Come and experience the most febrile shared house in the history of art.

"A perfect script, two moving and rare actors, the pigment of this Gauguin" Reg'Arts
"William Mesguich and Alexandre Cattez are dazzling in their commitment and sincerity" Artistik Rezo
"A lively, profound and historically rigorous play" L'autre scène
