Hold fast - Le Cargo

Born in the ghettos of California over 20 years ago as a reaction to systemic violence, racism and social injustice, KRUMP is renowned for its explosive, jerky movements that demand emotional control while encouraging self-expression. KRUMP is also a lifestyle in which community plays an essential role, rather than a particular practice or technique.

With Hold Fast, choreographer Marion Alzieu and dancer Mickaël Florestan transcend genres and origins to reveal the raw, incandescent emotion of krump. A duet
as intense as it is sincere, where rage becomes the force of resilience. Inspired by the history of krump, Marion Alzieu finds in it a visceral energy, a pulse of life. Hold Fast becomes a space for exploring how to surpass oneself: repetition, relentlessness, the quest for the right gesture... So many ways of pushing back the limits of body and mind. Alongside Mickaël Florestan, she explores this rage as a driving force for perseverance and courage. The duo does not stop at physical performance: they reflect on what keeps us going - others, life, our struggles, our impulses. At the crossroads of two choreographic languages, Hold Fast celebrates hybridity, trust and transmission, offering a collective journey that is vibrant and profoundly human.
