The Franco-American musician Melissa Weikart is driven by a spirit of experimentation and fashions hybrid music with a high degree of sensitivity. Her intimate avant-pop is shaped by her classical piano training, her love of jazz (she graduated from Boston's New England Conservatory) and her passion for folk songs.
