Built in the 11th century by the monks of Saint-Serge on the left bank of the Loir, the Chapel of Saint-Léonard has stood the test of time until its renovation, which was completed in 2019. It retains its original masonry, a 12th-century roof structure and paintings dating from before the 14th century. Now a residence for artists, it hosts concerts, music festivals, masterclasses and exhibitions, fostering a dialogue between contemporary creativity and heritage.

To mark European Heritage Days, step inside this unique venue and discover a monument that continues to come alive. On Sunday at 3 pm, the musical lecture ‘1,000 Years’, presented by Agnès Yamakado and Pierric Guennégan, invites you to explore a thousand years of history in the Bout du Monde neighbourhood through a thousand years of written music. A sensory experience that will appeal to heritage enthusiasts and music lovers alike.
