Journées Européennes du Patrimoine - Château du Patys

Come and explore the Château-musée du Patys in Marans during the European Heritage Days on Sunday 20 September 2026.

The historic family home of Hervé Bazin and the setting for the plot of his famous novel *Vipère au poing*. A former farmhouse converted into a château, you’ll explore around twenty rooms, all furnished and decorated, and also learn about the writer’s ancestors and his entire body of work.
Guided tours depart at 10.00 and 14.00; self-guided tours from 15.00 to 19.00
