As part of European Heritage Days, a guided tour of the village of Bourg d’Iré is scheduled for Sunday 20 September 2026 at 3.00 pm.

Discover the charming village of Bourg d’Iré, just a short distance from Segré, whose rich history is closely linked to that of Count Alfred de Falloux, a champion of agricultural development in this rural region and Minister for Public Education and Religious Affairs in 1848. The guided tour will recount the history of the 11th-century church with its octagonal stone bell tower,
the wash house and the ‘Alfred de Falloux’ castle, interspersed with secrets and anecdotes about the village’s heritage and way of life.
