Come and explore the Châtelais Archaeological Museum during the European Heritage Days on Sunday 20 September 2026.

This local museum takes you on a journey through history, from the Neolithic period to the Middle Ages. Thanks to local archaeological finds, you’ll enjoy seeing artefacts discovered in the area, such as carved stones, flints, bronze axes and daggers, Gallo-Roman coins, Merovingian sarcophagi… The tour is accompanied by a presentation on the evolution of castles.

Extend your visit with a self-guided tour of the village and its many historical remains (a trail with information panels), and enjoy a concert in Châtelais Church featuring the Châtelais Wind Band and the Azé Choirs at 3 pm.
