LA RUE DU SON

As part of Le Mans Sonore, join us on Saturday 17 January for a free day of festivities along the streets of the city centre: LA RUE DU SON!

On the programme: activities and workshops in sound practice and creation, acoustic installations and marching bands. ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCES AND INSTALLATIONS: listen to the 24-bell Carillon ambulant, immerse yourself in the world of the Baschet brothers' structures, learn about and practise angklungs as a group, watch an electroacoustic performance and an Opera for fruit and vegetables with hairstyles to die for! And last but not least, come and take part in one of the workshops that will take you on a collective, joyful and experimental experience! Come and discover sound in all its forms, through a variety of original sounding materials, all along the pedestrian streets! LES FANFARES: Brass bands will be wandering around throughout the day, performing a medieval musical show, a quartet for 16 bells, a string trio... In Le Mans town centre: between Place de la République and Place des Jacobins. Open to all. Free admission.
