Le château en santé

Join us at Les Cinéastes cinema for an evening of discussion centred on the documentary *Le château en santé*, which explores community health. This screening has been organised in partnership with the Collectif en Construction, and will be followed by a discussion.

Created following a series of meetings centred on the work of psychiatrist Franz Fanon, the Collectif en Construction invites you to an evening of discussion at the Les Cinéastes cinema, focusing on community health. This event forms part of the themes of the Encore Heureux festival at La Fonderie.

In 2018, a new kind of health centre opened in the northern districts of Marseille. Around fifteen healthcare workers are working together there, reinventing their profession.
The documentary *LE CHATEAU EN SANTÉ* offers an immersive, multi-month account of the struggles waged at the Château to improve everyone’s lives. It is a joyful, political chronicle – at times also discouraging and harsh – in which everyone finds their place to take action. It is a vibrant, soothing haven in the face of the social and physical violence in the neighbourhood.

This screening will be an opportunity to highlight the work of community health centres serving vulnerable groups, which are now under threat from cuts in public funding.
