After Broadway, opera, French chanson and many other adventures, Linières is transforming itself for five evenings into a stage for one of the most famous comedies in French theatre!

‘Un dîner de cons à Linières’ is inspired by the famous play, reimagined in true Linières style: with its unique world, its artists, its touch of madness… and a few creative liberties that we’ll leave you to discover for yourselves!

The premise has become a cult classic: every week, a man and his friends organise a dinner party where everyone must bring along an ‘idiot’. Whoever finds the most spectacular one is declared the winner.

But that evening, he thinks he’s found the gem!

Only… nothing ever goes exactly to plan.

An evening of theatre, misunderstandings and one disaster after another, in the unique atmosphere of Linières.

And already two extra performances!
We’d barely announced anything when bookings started flying in!

The first three performances were scheduled for 20, 21 and 22 November 2026.

In response to this enthusiasm, we are now adding two extra performances:

Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 2026.

That makes five performances for you to come and discover this new Linières extravaganza.

Before the show, head to the Taverne de Linières to enjoy our very own dinner — hoping it goes a fair bit better than the one in the show!

Generous, convivial cuisine, entirely homemade, prepared as far as possible using local produce from producers in our region.
