PITCH
Following the global success of *Bigre*, Pierre Guillois and Olivier Martin-Salvan, in a dazzling display of cardboard cut-outs, invite the audience on an imaginary journey – a fusion of the whimsy of a ‘cartoon’ cabaret and a Shakespearean epic. Winner of the “2022 Molière Award for Best Public Theatre Production”. He sets off from the plains of the Far North, cursed by a mermaid he caught by accident. He escapes on skates, by scooter and in a cardboard aeroplane. He discovers Scotland, heads south again on the back of a mule, murders a few bagpipers along the way, and is always searching for love. But the actor in his three-piece suit remains seated – such is the madness of the show. His sidekick in swimming trunks bustles around him with hundreds of pieces of cardboard bearing the names of countries, props or creatures encountered along the way. Bizarre adventures unfolding through a series of tricks and gags – it’s an explosion of brilliant and outlandish ideas.
