Émile has finally been granted a suspended sentence: he will now spend his days at the factory and his nights in a detention centre. But the company he’s been assigned to is on the verge of relocating. Amidst a series of mix-ups and misunderstandings, Émile finds himself thrust into the role of union leader, determined to defend his job and those of his colleagues. La Poursuite du Bleu presents a production at the crossroads of vaudeville and political theatre, driven by an ingenious stage design and a drummer who sets the pace for the action. Awarded Best Direction in Private Theatre at the 2026 Molières, the play offers a scathing satire of power dynamics, in which everyone – trade unionists, executives and elected representatives – gets a good dressing-down.
