Minuit sonne : Flânerie pour violoncelle et guitare
The Clock Strikes Midnight: A Stroll for Cello and Guitar
JMFrance Sarthe and JMFrance present “Midnight Strikes: A Stroll for Cello and Guitar”
Midnight strikes. Like two sorceresses, Pauline Ngolo and Laura Rouy bring time to a standstill. The night, thus suspended, offers a gateway to the world of dreams: sweet, exhilarating or mysterious dreams, dreams that sometimes turn into nightmares but which also allow us to fly…
This nocturnal stroll is set to music. Full of contrasts, their repertoire calls for celebration and dance, with pieces by Piazzolla and Duplessy, brimming with passion and character, but also for gentleness and lightness, with melodies by Schubert and Tchaikovsky.
The two musicians, going beyond the musical repertoire, also take us on a journey through sound. By plucking, striking, bowing and sliding across their instruments, they embark on a true exploration of the sonic possibilities of the guitar and the cello.
One past midnight. Time resumes its course, and this mysterious and fantastical night leaves us with memories in the form of sounds or a little tune that we find ourselves humming…
