Musiques Fictions

Booking

Ircam's Musiques-Fictions bring together a contemporary text, a musical creation and the collective experience of immersive listening. A collection launched in 2020, this programme brings musical creation into direct contact with literary fiction. Giving the music its rightful place and the text its rightful intelligibility: Musiques-Fictions aims to renew the genre of radio fiction, the Hörspiel, by going beyond the simple sound illustration of narrative or dialogue, when the image no longer acts as a screen.

2:00 pm: Trois femmes disparaissent

Action, action, action! An investigator plunges into Hollywood in search of three women, Tipi Hedren, Melanie Griffith and Dakota Johnson: grandmother, daughter and granddaughter. Three generations in the world of cinema, where successive disappearances, traces and erasure are the order of the day, and where many films intersect: The Birds, Marnie, Working Girl, The Vanity Pyre, Fifty Shades of Grey. Novelist Hélène Frappat's quest intersects with the music of Para One, and the common thread is a consuming passion for cinema.

16:00: In the car!

We love cars because they give us freedom of movement, but we hate them because they smash, bend, break and shatter our lives. The car is an ambivalent object, occupying our imaginations whether we like it or not, haunting our landscapes and polluting our visual and acoustic environment. The car is a source of traumatic memories (crashes and carcasses) or of family holidays. From generation to generation, the metamorphosis of its gleaming, metallic bodywork has accompanied our advancing years. Cars date. Christian Sebille, Célie Pauthe and Olivia Rosenthal have decided to tell this story, which is at once intimate, social and generational, from the DS of the 1960s to the automated Tesla that will soon rule our journeys. Together, they have created an immersive world of voices, rhythms, shocks, sounds and memories of accidents, giving us a glimpse of the complexity and richness of the ties that bind us to our cars.
