Noire forêt - Bande dessinée in situ

An event as part of the Le Mans Sonore biennial.

[In situ comic strip: narrative and sound installation]
Noire Forêt is a site-specific comic strip: its narrative, carried by the powerfully expressive drawings of Quebec author Christian Quesnel, incorporates innovative sound and light installations... Everything is brought together to tell the story of boreal fauna battling forest fires.
This in situ comic strip will be presented in Montreal in 2026, then at the Angoulême International Comics Festival in 2027. In January 2026, the Noire Forêt team will present the very first demonstrator of the project at Le Mans Sonore: a complete sequence extracted from the story Noire Forêt. The narration of this sequence will mobilise specific configurations of images (dimensions, arrangement in space, etc.), acoustic devices (sound bubbles, activation of sound by detectors, etc.) and visual devices (projections, lighting, etc.).
