The Le Mans Municipal Music Symphony Orchestra is made up of around forty instrumentalists. It performs a wide variety of works by the great French and foreign classical and contemporary composers. Its mission is to participate in the cultural life of Le Mans. Under the impetus of its conductor, Valentin BEAUNE, the association organises a number of concerts with varied programmes showcasing the musicians of the different sections, all of whom are amateurs.
Works by ROSSINI, DVORAK, Paul DUKAS and MOZART will be on the programme this afternoon.
The highlight of the concert will be Mozart's symphonie concertante, written for 4 soloists who will interact with the orchestra: an oboe, a clarinet, a horn and a bassoon. The four solo parts will be performed by teachers from Le Mans Conservatoire.
