Rendez-vous peinture et patrimoine - Château de la Lorie

At the Château de la Lorie in La Chapelle-sur-Oudon, watercolour workshops open to all will be held on Thursday 23 July, from 4 pm to 6 pm, and on Wednesday 5 August, from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Part cultural experience, part creative workshop and part gastronomic discovery, Peinture & Patrimoine offers participants the chance to enjoy a special experience in exceptional settings. For two hours, participants create a watercolour painting inspired by the venue or an object found there, under the guidance of a painter, whilst enjoying a tasting menu designed to complement the experience.
For this first event on 23 July, the workshop will take the form of a Tea Party organised in partnership with Les Jardins des Arcands, who will offer a selection of elixirs accompanied by a homemade treat, to be enjoyed throughout the session.
Open to all, with no prior experience in drawing or painting required, this experience celebrates the heritage of Anjou through an artistic and sensitive lens.
Each participant will take home their watercolour painting, a lasting memento of their time at the Château de la Lorie. This artwork will be the first piece in a ‘Painting & Heritage’ collection, an invitation to discover, as the seasons change, the most beautiful heritage sites in Anjou from a new perspective.

The ‘Rendez-vous Peinture & Patrimoine’ events are designed to gradually take place at various châteaux, wine estates, remarkable gardens and heritage sites across the department, offering a travelling programme that combines artistic creation, heritage and the promotion of local skills.
