Semaine Bleue - Randonnée 5 km entre Seiches Sur Le Loir et Corzé
A 5km walk in Seiches-sur-le-Loir to mark ‘Blue Week’!
To mark ‘Semaine Bleue’ – the national week dedicated to pensioners and older people – the town of Seiches invites you to enjoy a breath of fresh air on a friendly walk that’s accessible to all, organised especially for senior citizens… but open to all lovers of nature and heritage!
Nestled in a bend of the River Loir, Seiches-sur-le-Loir offers a remarkable natural setting, typical of the Anjou region. From the hill in the village of Matheflon, the view opens out onto a lush green valley where the river winds peacefully.
The walk will take you on a journey of discovery through this natural heritage, as well as the rich and sometimes little-known history of the village. In particular, you’ll pass close to the famous Château du Verger, a former holiday retreat for the kings of France, and walk through neighbourhoods that bear witness to the industrial activity of yesteryear, notably around the Angevin tanneries, which have had a profound impact on the local identity.
Meet on Thursday 8 October at 9.30 am at Place de l’Église in Seiches.
Followed by refreshments in the Henri Régnier Hall
Spread the word, especially to the older people you know! This event is a wonderful opportunity to get together, chat and (re)discover the hidden treasures of Seiches together.
