Soirée concert Georges Azzaria suivi de Anne-F Jacques
As part of Le Mans Sonore
Georges Azzaria (Live dispositif DIY)? followed by Anne-F Jacques (Live dispositif DIY)
Georges Azzaria (CAN/Québec) - "Le chant de la matière inerte" (The song of inert matter)
This performance will make objects resonate using the sounds emitted by frequency oscillators. A form of discourse, and perhaps a song, will emerge in the zones of convergence between the vibration of a loudspeaker and the sonority of raw materials.
Anne-F Jacques (CAN/Québec) - "mouches à feu" (fireflies)
Electricity, a little friction, and a light that flows through our fingers.
It crackles, it goes out, it smells warm. You could almost start dancing.
About the artists :
Georges Azzaria first became interested in radio experimentation, before devoting himself to the creation of noisy instruments. He has been a member of the sound research collective Bruit TTV, has been active in the Avatar artists' centre in Quebec City, has presented exhibitions of his instruments and has produced film soundtracks and records. In recent years, his work has focused more specifically on the misappropriation of images and objects.
Anne-F Jacques is a sound artist based in Montreal. She is interested in amplification, oblique interactions between materials and the construction of various idiosyncratic systems and assemblages.
Her (in)attention is particularly focused on light technologies, banal objects and rough sounds. She regularly creates sound installations, performances and ephemeral interventions, as well as workshops on the hijacking of domestic electronics.
