Spectacle - Aux plus adultes que nous
With humour and a dreamlike quality, Samuel Gallet gives a voice to the youngest among us: Ewa is an angry teenager. She resents her parents for doing nothing to stop wars, deforestation and the melting of the ice caps.
Ewa is an angry teenager.
She resents her parents for doing nothing to stop wars, deforestation and the melting of the ice caps.
She rejects this world into which people would like to settle her quietly.
So she decides to write to those older than her. But not on her own. She wants to bring together the voices of all those who, like her, dream of a different world.
And so begins a real adventure, from the school playground to Parliament – Ewa isn’t the sort to be put off.
And then there’s Pierre, her musician friend, who supports her in his own way.
But soon, she too will be a ‘grown-up’, and time is running out before she, in turn, falls silent… like a carp.
*To the More Grown-ups* is aimed just as much at teenagers who recognise themselves in this ‘no’ as at adults faced with a generation who are told that the world is heading for ruin and that there is no alternative.
With humour and a dreamlike quality, Samuel Gallet gives a voice to the younger generation.
