Spectacle "J'aime la vie" - Compagnie Figur' Théâtre Semilla Corazon
J'aime la vie" show based on Refus d'obéissance by Jean Giono at the Jarzé library!
Immerse yourself in a deeply humanist and moving show with "J'aime la vie", an adaptation of Refus d'obéissance, published in 1937. It brings together 2 separate texts.
The first is a manifesto for peace in which Giono evokes the atrocity of his experiences in the trenches during the First World War, which never ceased to haunt him, and his refusal to obey a mobilisation order. Twenty years later, Jean Giono appears in the guise of a wounded soldier: Joseph. Our poilu, a lecturer, describes the horror of the fighting and his passion for life. Written between the two wars, this text is a formidable plea for peace, denouncing the absurdity of war.
A blend of memory, commitment and poetry, "J'aime la vie" is a powerful and sensitive plea for peace. An intense and necessary piece of theatre that still resonates powerfully today.
