Theatre in Morannes: ‘Les Forteresses’, a moving story of three Iranian women

A collection of testimonies from three Iranian sisters who have lived through major historical events – from the Shah’s downfall to the establishment of the Islamic religious dictatorship – whilst also enduring personal tragedies, including domestic violence, uprooting and migration to Europe.
Glances, silences, musical moments, oriental scents… the play takes the audience on a poignant sensory journey, oscillating between the horror of the narrative and the gentleness of the scents.
