A boat celebrates the power of childhood and the beauty of forgotten things: a poetic journey between dreams and imagination.

By the seaside, a child discovers an abandoned boat, half-submerged. Drawn to it and intrigued, he approaches it, observes it and walks round it. Over the course of a tidal cycle, guided by a mysterious old lady, the child brings the wreck back to life. The Compagnie Sans Soucis has chosen the art of puppetry to bring this sensitive and heart-warming story to life. Cécile Dalnoky’s black-and-white drawings come to life thanks to the crank of a picture organ, whilst a musician and sound effects artist creates a live soundscape. Without words, the show tenderly evokes children’s capacity to create, explore the unknown and set off on adventures. A black-and-white reverie for young and old alike.
