Le Mans
During the Renaissance, the Valois kings and queens donated splendid stained-glass windows to the cathedral. The art of stained-glass window-making declined over the following centuries, only to be revived in the 19th century alongside a renewed interest in the Middle Ages. Le Mans once again became one of the leading centres of stained-glass art in France and Europe.
